I’ve just finished my newest pastel drawing. I tried a different viewpoint with the head directly below the viewer’s gaze as the lowest point of the image. Apart from the figure having such a gentle, tender pose, for me the most striking is the juxtaposition with the crumpled sheets. I like how the eye darts around the figure, following the creases before ultimately drawing the viewer towards the model.
